Dream Car

Dream car update: this is still it.  (Source)

gimme, day 30

1966 Fiat 600

Wait a minute.  Wasn't this list supposed to include unbelievably extravagant stuff, too?  It was!  Let's get back to that and end this little project on a bang, shall we?

This is my dream car.  I'll have to learn stick to drive it, but just look at it.  That's a car I'd sell my soul for.  Metaphorically speaking.

And so ends my absurdly long Christmas list!  To be honest, if I got all of the things on this list, I wouldn't know what to do with myself.  I wasn't actually expecting to get any of the things on it, but I've heard from some elves that I may be after all.  Which makes me a little bit happy.

Have a merry, merry Christmas, all!

forever love

So my day off began in a slightly less than ideal fashion when I awoke with a splitting headache, courtesy of the fellows building the porch out back, but my spirits hiccupped back up with I caught sight of this beauty in my Google Reader. Oh, Fiat 500, I do love you!

sort of fantastic

I am in love with this set from Flickr user esmuz, Analog Bikes. There's just something I find magnetic about motor scooters, and if I had the extra dough, believe me I'd snap one up in a second. Until that day, I will have to content myself with gazing at these gorgeous photos.

getaway

In the midst of my mad studying for midterms (plus that paper due Tuesday--EVIL professors!), I can't help but fantasize about a sweet little weekend getaway. I'll be taking those vehicles, thank you very much!

summer roadsters

I made my first trip to the pool yesterday. After washing the paint flecks from my legs (I'm in the midst of painting, hence the light blogging), I floated for a bit, then pulled out my headphones (a birthday gift to myself), pulled out my magazines, and lay in the sun.I've seen small classic and vintage cars appear more than a few times in design magazine spreads this summer, and one from Elle Decor caught my eye yesterday. The article is about the house, but what I noticed first was the car and scooter. They just seem to shout "carefree summer."
Something similar from Cottage Living. I like the house well enough, but check out that great little car! I love that car! And its got a basket strapped to the back, in case you were in doubt of its summery awesomeness.

love it!

At the moment, I'm loving all things daisy yellow, and this is no exception! More and more, I find myself cutting out pictures of classic cars for my inspiration book, and is it any wonder? Love the scale, the curves and lines!
