In celebration of the Drive-In movie theatre's 75th birthday, Wired magazine asked its readers to submit photos of their favourite drive-ins from across the country. The results are deliciously retro.
Sadly but unsurprisingly, most drive-ins are gone now. The one pictured directly above (in 1997) was replaced with a truck dealership.via Boing Boing

Haha, you're welcome! Your kids are lucky indeed. Make sure to take lots of photos so if they don't remember down the line, there's proof of what an awesome mom you are!
