I'll admit that I wasn't even aware of any gay marriage vote in NY until Twitter exploded with it (although I have been following progress in the District).  In the midst of the fray, Neil Gaiman posted this little video, which was made to support the campaign for same-sex marriage in Ireland.  I think it pretty perfectly fits the bill over here, as well.

Using Lisa Hannigan's "An Ocean and A Rock" as the soundtrack doesn't hurt, either.
