If you thought that Bobby McFerrin had been sitting around, twiddling his thumbs since his hit Don't Worry, Be Happy faded from the public consciousness, you were so wrong.  I actually saw him in concert, directing the National Symphony Orchestra several years back.  He directed them barefoot, and watching him get lost in the music was positively entrancing.  That said, check out this fantastic demonstration of the power of pentatonic scale at the World Science Festival.
