Just recently it's caught my eye that beds in magazine spreads and such are no longer necessarily immaculately made up. I love seeing a mussed or unmade bed because it always makes the room feel so much cozier, like it's actually someone's home. (Which is not to say that made-up beds must needs appear sterile, just that they often exude a museum-like feeling rather than home-like.)
