farewell, aught-nine

Are you ready to bid farewell to 2009?  As well as, you know, the decade?  I can't decide.  It was certainly a very full year, and I am excited about the changes the next year and ten will bring, so let's go with yes.  To see '09 off, here are two of my favourite annual year-end traditions:
